What is Dropshipping? 

Dropshipping means consignment, also known as one piece consignment, is a method of order fulfillment. In this business model, the seller does not hold the inventory. After the seller receives the order, the order information is sent to the supplier who holds the product inventory, and the supplier sends the product directly to the customer. The seller acts as a middleman between the customer and the supplier who holds the product inventory. Sellers don't stock or have no inventory, which is the biggest difference between consignment and standard retail models. Under the consignment business model, the seller purchases inventory from a third party as needed, and then the wholesaler or manufacturer fulfills the order.
